A web game from UsVsTh3m has proved extremely popular. The game entitled Kick The Tories Out Of Scotland features a cartoon version of the UK Prime Minister and leader of the UK Conservative Party (commonly known as the Tory party) David Cameron. The rules are simple, click the button to start swinging the boot, click it again to kick.
Some may argue that such a game, with it’s accompanying “kickity Cameron out, hoi!” soundtrack is childish and perhaps even offensive but you can’t argue with the popularity it’s getting. A quick check by Geek Scot on Facebook and Twitter’s respective APIs show that the link to this game have been shared tens of thousands of times. At the time of writing, Facebook has seen the link shared 12,383 times whilst Twitter has seen 1,512 Tweets featuring the game.
Regardless of what you think of the game, there’s no denying that it’s fun to play! Geek Scot managed to kick the Tories all the way to Cambridge, not bad seeing as the starting point appears to be in the Firth of Forth and not the border. Though we may forgive it for accuracy. After all, Nessie is more commonly seen in the Caledonian Canal rather than the salty Forth. It’s important to separate fact from fiction 😉
