Hello sweetie. Spoilers.
Did you watch Dr. Who tonight? Geek Scot enjoyed tonight’s slightly different episode. With a mini Tardis and the Doctor stuck inside, Clara takes on the role of the Doctor.
It was a more light hearted episode than we have seen of late and raised more questions about who the mysterious Missy is as she is seen suggesting that she in fact chose Clara as the Doctor’s companion as she observed her on an iPad. Don’t go screaming product placement or favouritism though, only moments earlier, Clara was seen rejecting calls on her Samsung phone so no BBC broadcasting regulations were broken here.
We just loved that mini Tardis though!
Clara was able to carry the Doctor round in her hand bag as she took the chance to truly take control of the show, leaving him the sidekick and her the Doctor, a taste of his own medicine he seemed to find quite bitter.
There also appeared to be an Easter Egg in the episode with a train bearing the service number A113. This is a room number that students studying film animation in classes at the California Institute of Arts often work in. It appears in many films and shows, especially those made by Pixar and it seems that it has made an appearance in British made Doctor Who tonight. Perhaps there have been or will be more easter eggs hidden in this series, we’ll be on the look out for them just in case, when we’re not distracted by an adorable little Tardis that is.
